Our Story

Home Delights began as a small high street shop in Lancashire, built on a love for unique, characterful homeware — pieces that bring warmth, texture and personality into a home.

From the very beginning, our focus was simple: to offer something a little different. Not mass-produced items, but carefully chosen pieces that feel considered, timeless and easy to live with.

The inspiration behind Home Delights came from a very special moment in our lives — our wedding in Kenya. During our time there, we met incredibly talented local artisans creating beautiful, hand-carved wooden pieces. We were instantly drawn to the craftsmanship, the individuality of each item, and the stories behind them.

Bringing that feeling back home, we began curating a collection that reflected the same sense of warmth and authenticity — combining handcrafted elements with thoughtfully selected homeware we genuinely love.

Over the years, our shop became a place where customers came not just to buy, but to discover pieces that felt right for their homes.

Today, we’ve brought Home Delights online — allowing us to share that same carefully curated collection with more people, wherever they are.

Every item you see has been chosen with the same care as it would have been for our shop floor — pieces we believe in, each with its own quiet charm.

What is the return policy?

Returns & Refunds Policy

At Home Delights, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If something is not quite right, we are here to help.

Returns Window

You have the right to return your item within 14 days of receiving your order.

To be eligible for a return:

  • You must notify us within 14 days of delivery
  • The item must be returned within a further 14 days
  • The item must be unused and in its original packaging

How to Request a Return

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • The item(s) you wish to return
  • The reason for the return

Once approved, we will provide you with the appropriate return address and instructions.

Important:
Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.

Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.

If approved:

  • Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
  • Please allow 5–10 working days for the refund to appear

Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Return Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for unwanted items.

For larger or heavier items (including courier or pallet deliveries), return shipping costs may be significantly higher and remain the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty.

Condition of Returns

Returned items must be:

  • Unused
  • In original packaging
  • In resalable condition

We reserve the right to reduce the refund if the item shows signs of use or damage, in line with applicable consumer law.

Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide photographs as evidence.

In these cases:

  • We will cover return shipping costs
  • You will be offered a replacement or a full refund

Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns on:

  • Perishable goods (such as food items)
  • Items marked as final sale
  • Custom or personalised items

Responsibility During Return

Items remain the customer’s responsibility until they are received by us.

We recommend using a tracked delivery service, as we cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different item, please return your original order for a refund and place a new order.

When will I get my order?

We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. We aim for 1-2 working days for dispatch. During busier periods (Oct-Dec), dispatch times may increase to 3-4 working days.
Delivery times vary depending on your location.

How much does shipping cost?

Zone 1 UK Mainland
FREE DELIVERY
Orders 0-2kg are sent via Royal Mail. Orders 2kg+ are sent via APC.
Delivery via Royal Mail can take 2-5 working days after dispatch. Orders sent via APC are booked on an overnight service for delivery the next working day. Large furniture items will need to be shipped via pallet. We will contact you via email to arrange the delivery.


Zone 2 Northern Ireland
FREE DELIVERY
Orders 100g-2kg are sent via Royal Mail. Orders 2kg+ are sent via DPD.
Delivery can take up to 5 working days after dispatch.


Zone 3 Scottish Highlands & Isles, Channel Islands, Scilly Islands
FREE DELIVERY
Orders 0-2kg for the Scottish Highlands will be sent via Royal Mail, and 2kg+ with APC. Channel Islands will be sent via DHL.
